Bad Boy Pizza Society’s Story

Bad Boy Pizza Society began as a parody university society, aiming to get discount pizza for its members. It has now grown into a force taking on the London pizza scene, with five permanent locations now spread across the city.

Whether it’s pizza by the slice or a full pie, they have you covered with a range a styles and a specific passion for New York style.

The Problem

Before JustTip, Bad Boy Pizza Society were struggling with maintaining compliance with UK tipping laws. As well as this, both the business and team members were paying National Insurance on all tips and gratuities – a cost that could easily be avoided.

Why JustTip?

Bad Boy Pizza Society chose JustTip because we provided a simple, user-friendly solution to the issues they were facing: “Just what we were looking for at a competitive price.” – Alex Glennon, Operations Manager

“We've been using JustTip for the last few months, it's saved both staff and the business significantly with respect to NIC contributions. The support has been fast and effective every time, we've loved getting to know the team. The product offered satisfied our short term need to remove NICs from the Tronc process. Whilst we've only been using these simple functions so far, we're excited for the future working with JustTip to flesh out our Tipping Policy to further increase staff motivation. The onboarding was super simple and I'd for sure recommend JustTip to any similar business looking to reduce admin, save on NIC costs and stay compliant with tipping law.”

How has JustTip improved the tipping process?

JustTip has ensured that Bad Boy Pizza Society have been able to give staff a boost, by removing the need to pay NIC on their well-earned tips. It has also increased staff motivation and reduced stress on the back-of-house admin.

“Working with JustTip is a no brainer if your business has a Tronc setup where customers are making service charge and tip contributions regularly. The NIC savings for both staff and the business easily outweigh the cost, it couldn't have been an easier decision to make.”
